Free Texas apartment locating
Find Felon Friendly Apartments in Texas
Look at apartment options with a team that works with renters who have criminal backgrounds. We help you compare places that fit your area, budget and move date, and locating is free.
Communities decide applications. A conversation or property suggestion is not an approval.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
Know More Before Your Next Application
A listing may not say how its screening rules apply to your record. We check that part for you. Here’s what else to know before you pick where to apply.
Know What Applying Costs
Application fees add up fast. Ask which fees and deposits you can get back, and keep the terms in writing. Texas law requires a refund in some cases, including when you're turned down and the property didn't make its required selection criteria available.
"Case by Case Review"
We find out who does the individual review, what documents they take, and if it happens before or after you pay to apply.
We Check Each Community’s Criteria
Most listings don't show screening criteria. That's our part: we look at each community's rules and tell you where your record fits, before you spend money on an application.
Parole Deadlines Come Fast
Ask your parole officer what approval your new address needs and who has to give it. Get that done before you pay or sign. A locator can't approve an address.

HOW IT WORKS
Your Apartment Search, Step by Step
Tell Us Your Metro
Start with the metro you want, your budget, bedrooms and move date. Fill out the form or call the team.
Sort Out the Screening Questions
We help narrow the search and check each community’s criteria against your record. Early information can change, and some questions may stay open.
Look Over Your Apartment Options
Go through the options from your search and pick the communities you want to follow up on. A suggestion doesn’t mean you qualify, and it doesn’t hold a unit.
Tour and Apply
If you want to move forward, confirm the tour and charges with the community. The community handles the application and makes the leasing decision.
Know Your Next Steps Before You Pay to Apply
Tell us what you need in your next home. We can walk you through your next steps, free, before you pick where to spend application fees.

Felon Friendly Apartment FAQs
Is this actually free?
Yes. Our locating service is free to renters. Participating communities may pay our sponsoring brokerage a referral fee. The community sets rent, deposits, application charges and concessions.
How can a licensed real estate service be free to renters?
Participating communities may pay our sponsoring brokerage for a referral when a renter leases. You don’t pay us for locating. Ask the property for its current offer in writing, with every charge listed.
Do I have to tell you what I was charged with?
No. Record details are optional on the form. A general idea of your case can help us talk through screening criteria, but we don’t need the story of the case or court documents.
What if I already got denied somewhere?
Ask why you were denied and if a screening report played a part. A wrong report, a property’s own rule and a possible rights issue each need different next steps. A denial at one community doesn’t settle the answer at another.
Which Texas cities do you cover?
We locate apartments in Austin, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio. Pick a metro page for search tips. Use Local Help to find reentry, housing, food and job programs near you. Ask our team if we cover a certain suburb or property.
How fast will you get back to me?
We reply within 24 to 48 weekday hours, and weekend messages get a Monday reply. After that, how long the search takes depends on your needs and how communities respond. Tell the team your deadline so we can talk about next steps. We can’t promise a list or a decision by a set date.
